Loved our tour! Our guide Rita and driver Christina were amazing. Rita was so knowledgeable and engaging with a range of family members aged 5 to 74 years! The company assisted us in finding good towns to stop in- Tomar and Coimbre were trip highlights for sure! Highly recommend!

Best guided tour because not only will you learn extensively, you will feel the history as it's explained in detail. Example: The chapterhouse window - the level of detail behind each piece surrounding the window is so rich with history and reason, Rita explains so you capture the essence. Clearly Honest Routes does their research using all available resources and then builds digestible sequences you explore cities of museums. I met Rita & Gonçalo today in Tomar and toured Convento de Cristo (Convent of Christ) and left awed. Often times I visit places and miss the detail that makes something spectacular. Rita & Gonçalo have that information and who you want to use if they are available in your area. You will be amazed. I was! We spent a wonderful day and a half with Rita - starting out with a tour of the Mouraria & Alfama neighborhoods, ending with an evening of a 3-course fado dinner; and the 2nd day in Sintra touring two palaces and the town - complete with some local flavors over lunch. Rita is an excellent tour guide who is knowledgeable and engaging in sharing the history of Portugal. Rita was very simply the best guide we ever had. She gave us both a food and separate historical tour of Lisbon. She is energetic, knowledgeable , with a great personality and very easy to deal with.
